Alhumdulillah, Maktab classes, for both girls and boys, have been running at the Jame'ah since 1977.

The Maktab section comprises of various areas:

• One Hour Classes
• Boys' Maktab Section (Two and a Half Hour Classes)
• Girls' Maktab Section (Two and a Half Hour Classes)
• Hifz Section (Three Hour Classes)

Students at the initial stages of the course are enrolled in the one hour class (boy's section only).

The majority of classes operate in the two and a hour hour classes which are divided in various academic years for boys' and girls'. The students progress from year to year in accordance to their progress and ability

Students are encouraged to partake in Hifz class where the memorisation of the Qur'an is taught on a daily basis. These classes are extremely sought for as the rewards and merits for memorising the Qur'an are well known and appreciated.
