Maktab (Evening) Class
Alhumdulillah, Maktab classes, for both girls and boys, have been running at the Jame'ah since 1977. Students at the initial stages of the course are enrolled in the one hour class (boy's section only). The one hour classes runs from Monday to Friday and commences at 5.00 pm til 6.00 pm and a second slot at 6.20pm to 7.20pm. Within these classes individual attention is given to each student to aid them in learning the Arabic letters and progress in understanding the basics of reading the Arabic language.
The Jame'ah also has two and a half hour classes for students who are in the Qur'an. These classes are held from Monday to Friday and commence at 5.00pm til 7.25pm.
The children follow a set syllabus through-out the years developing their Islamic knowledge as they advance each academic year. Within each year the students progress gradually and memorise certain Surats of the Qur'an, Du'as and other necessary knowledge which requires day to day application.
Classes start from the basics of the Arabic and Urdu Alphabet and develop into basic, yet essential Islamic studies which include Qur'an, Tajweed, Memorisation of Surats and Du'as, Fiqh, Islamic Beliefs / Creed, Urdu, Islamic History, manners and etiquettes, Seerah of the Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, and many more subjects.
The Maktab has two sections, one section consisting of boys and the other section of girls

Examinations:
The Jame'ah, over the years, has been developing its methods and procedures for examinations. The students are given an end-of-year examination during June / July. This allows us to assess each student and confirm whether (s)he is capable and ready to move onto the next level in the new academic year (August).
Students are examined internally, through written exam papers, and oral examinations. This allows us to set a single standard over the entire Madrassah and ensure that there is a uniform of marks in accordance to our marking scheme.
Examinations are given on the subjects the student has studied over the year and thereafter an end-of-year report is also given to the students.
Students who fail the exam, or have not attended a sufficient amount during the year will be allocated a class in accordance to their results. This will allow them to continue their education at a level which will be a continuation of their current education
